Rivers Police Service would like to remind motorists we are running our annual distracted driving/Road Watch campaign. Police will be targeting drivers using their cell phones, and other high-risk driving offences such as impaired driving, speeding and failure to wear a seat belt.

Cut to grant puts VCC’s future in jeopardy

For the Viscount Cultural Council (VCC), losing half of their annual grant from the Town of Neepawa came as a surprise. On April 19, the Town of Neepawa presented the first reading of their 2016-2017 budget, which included cuts to the grants distributed by the municipality to local organizations.

Rivers 50 Plus meeting was held on April 21 with 23 members in attendance. President Adrienne Beaudin has returned from her winter holiday and chaired the meeting, which opened with the singing of O Canada.
