Gladstone's Bullmania thrills the crowd

On Aug. 10, Canada Delmar Commodities and Legend Seeds Bullmania was held at the Gladstone Ag Society Rodeo Arena. The event was part of this year’s Gladstone Fair. A youth rides during the intermission mutton busting event. Cody Coverchuk and Steve Maddison competing in this year’s bull riding event.

Prairie Storm Athletics compete at Legion Track and Field Nationals

It was solid showing for Neepawa area members of the Prairie Storm Athletics Club on the track this past weekend at the Legion Track and Field National Championships. Team members competed in this annual national competition, held this year in Brandon. Notable results included:

Neepawa Novas on the move

The Neepawa Novas Gymnastics Club are jumping for joy over their new home, as the club has agreed to a new three-year rental agreement with the Yellowhead Centre. The contract will see the Novas move all their training and recreational classes into the Yellowhead Hall in mid-September. As well, the club’s major competition of the season, a Western Manitoba qualifier for the Manitoba Games, will also take place at the Yellowhead in January. The Novas had previously held events at the gymnasium at Neepawa Area Collegiate Institute (NACI).
