On Sunday, I stood in the trenches at the front lines, with smoke and flares and the sounds of gunfire all around. There were loud whistles and the commanders were yelling orders as the troops advanced into No Man’s Land. There was a plane passing back and forth over head.

It was good news to see that the senior levels of government were putting some money into municipal infrastructure this past week. The federal government is putting up half and the other half is being split between municipalities and the province. Hopefully that doesn’t mean there will just be less projects funded.

Thumbs up to the Barillas and their flower garden. Had a couple from Winnipeg stop in Kerreen’s and ask about it and ask who tended it, plus I know numerous grad pictures were taken thereI so think they need a thumbs up.
A second one to the Rotary for bringing the RCMP Musical Ride. What a great show they put on and well done by Rotary.

The other day, I got out of bed a little after four o’clock in the morning and wandered into the kitchen. There was a beam of light showing at the horizon and suddenly I heard a robin announcing a new day. This was certainly an early bird singing in a new morning. Even though it had been a rough night with rain and wind, it did not keep the bird from starting the day with a song in it’s heart.
