Spring will arrive early in Neepawa this year and anyone is welcome to enjoy it. The Manitoba Horticultural Association holds its 118th annual convention, Back to Basics, Jan. 28-30 at the Neepawa United Church Christian Education Centre.

Reverse osmosis water for Rivers

What seems like forever for some, is five short years for others. In 2011 Manitoba Water Services Board (MWSB) met with Town of Rivers council of that day, and expressed their concerns that our present water treatment facility may not hold the ability to meet water standards of the day, even with significant upgrades. At that time, it was suggested that we look towards funding an overall study of the existing facility that would not only document the present condition of the facility, but would give recommendation as to its faith.

New clinic in Minnedosa prescribed for community

Plans for a new clinic in Minnedosa took a huge step forward this week with the announcement that a project manager has been selected for the upcoming construction. With the looming challenge to attract and retain medical practitioners in rural communities, Minnedosa sought advice from Prairie Mountain Health about its best course of action. The health authority identified that the best measure that could be taken is in the development of a modern primary care centre which is equipped with electronic record keeping as well as other conveniences that are becoming standard for doctors across the province.
