Hike for Hospice raises funds

On Sunday, June 12 Riverdale Palliative Care held its Hike for Hospice fundraiser.  The event is held annually to not only raise funds for the local organization, but to also remember and honour the clients who have died in the past year. It is also a time to celebrate the efforts of the many dedicated caregivers and volunteers who care for those who are facing life-limiting illnesses and for their loved ones.

Riverdale Splashpark fundraising plans

Riverdale Splashpark Committee is excited to announce our summer fundraising event — a band blast— along with the help of Tad Hoyak. The event will take place Saturday, Aug. 20, 1-8 p.m. in the parking lot beside Shelly Mom's Kitchen. We are planning other family activities for the day, along with a “flea market” garage sale. Moonlight Madness

The Wasagaming Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with Travel Manitoba and Parks Canada, organized a special family oriented day on Saturday, June 25 to promote the region and businesses.

Rivers Police Service has ended another Use Your Head campaign. Elementary students did a fantastic job again this year, wearing their helmets to school, and were duly rewarded for their efforts.
