Neepawa businesses awaiting return of dumpsters

A short turn around in the change of garbage contractors is being blamed for the unsightly piles of commercial garbage collecting around Neepawa this month. Without curbside pickup, most of the town’s commercial properties depend on communal dumpsters, located in central locations around town, to dispose of their garbage. However, businesses have been without dumpsters since the beginning of January.

Political contemporaries and long-time friends gathered in Neepawa on Monday, Jan. 16 to offer a special sendoff to former Agassiz MLA Stu Briese. In 2014, Briese announced he would not seek re-election for the position he had filled for nearly a decade. That position would ultimately be filled by Eileen Clarke, who won the riding in the 2016 provincial election
