This past week, one of our main topics was the weather. It was cold, yes bitterly cold. I believe this is the first year I drove around with my cord for the block-heater in my car, in case I had to be somewhere for awhile and a post was available to plug in the cord.
Global warming? I’m not so sure. Certainly not on the prairies this past week. The scientists are studying the weather and trying to develop some theories. They even unsuccessfully tried to make some changes.
However, when I read Psalm 95, I believe what David writes in verses four and five: “In whose (God’s) hand are the depth of the earth, the peaks of the mountains are also His. The sea is His for He made it and His hands formed the dry land.” The Lord God has created it all and He has ultimate control over it.
We will look forward to a new season. It will not be long.
