This past week we encountered a day, not only in Swan Valley, but from Dauphin north to The Pas, that many of us will not forget.

Banks were closed, grocery stores only handled cash, people were waiting for test results in the hospital and pharmacies could not provide medication. Many doctor’s offices now run their files electronically. It was a real mess.

To me it felt like old times. I even put my radio on. I got more done in the house, but I do not rely on my computer for all my business. Did I miss it? You better believe it. I could not even do my devotions electronically. 

The thought came to me that when we own a Bible, it will never be cut off or be without power. The apostle Paul endured hardness, but even as he suffered trouble and “unto bonds, but the Word of God is not bound.” 

Even though the electronics were bound and businesses were in jeopardy God’s business is never closed. 

“This is the day which the Lord has made, we will rejoice and be glad in it” (Psalm 118:24).
