Exercise buffs in Neepawa recently sweated it out for a worthy cause. Nearly 50 people participated in the Whitey’s Fitness and Body Shop barbell workout/fundraiser on Monday, Sept. 3. The event was put together to support Lindylou Escabarte, who has been combating breast cancer.

This past Saturday, Sept. 8, the Neepawa Legion (#23) held a rededication ceremony for its long-standing 100 year old German cannon, officially making it a marked historical monument and memorial.
Provincial tax incentive supports HyLife Foods expansion

The recent expansion at HyLife Foods Ltd. in Neepawa has received a little extra support from the province. On Friday, Sept. 14, the Manitoba government announced that it would assist HyLife’s recently completed expansion to the Neepawa plant, as well as the ongoing construction of a new feed mill near Killarney, through its Tax Increment Financing (TIF) program.
