Agriculture is important to the region’s economy.  What policies would you like to see implemented or changed to help Canadian farmers?  Does your party have a position regarding agricultural implications of trade deals?

Auxiliary awarded a friendship garden

Royal Canadian Legion Branch No. 75 Ladies Auxiliary of Rivers is the lucky recipient of one of 140, 70th anniversary Dutch-Canadian friendship tulip gardens being distributed across Canada. The gardens are in celebration of the first gift of 100,000 Dutch tulip bulbs sent to Canadians in 1945 as a symbol of appreciation for the role Canadian soldiers played in the liberation of the Netherlands, and the hospitality Canada provided to the Dutch royal family in Ottawa during the Second World War. A public planting ceremony is to take place in the near future.

Ste Rose RCMP investigate fatal collision

On Sept. 26, at approximately 10:55 pm, Ste Rose du Lac RCMP officers were called to Kinosota Front Road in the RM of Alonsa after receiving a call of a pedestrian involved collision .

Jeff Kirk began his career with Canada Post in the village of Riding Mountain, under the leadership of Pat Dinsdale. He was willing to relocate and embraced new communities, purchasing a home, creating an oasis.
