New phone number for NACTV

The NACTV has their new phone lines installed. The new lines were made necessary when Bill Gade of NACTV decided to remove the phone lines, phones and other equipment that he had loaned to the TV station from the NACTV offices. The new general phone number is 204-476-2639 and Board Chairman Ivan Traill’s direct line is 204-476-2815.

More than a dozen exchange students from 12 countries converged on Neepawa this past weekend. They were here for the annual orientation event hosted by “Neepawa Inner Wheel,” now in its 38th year.

Council Clips

RM of Oakview, Oct. 7: Drainage concerns in Ward 3 were brought to the attention of council. Culvert replacement in PR 355, beaver dam concerns and brushcutting were discussed. Councillor Ken Hyndman reported on the recycling meeting he attended in Virden and the recommendations received regarding the request for proposals which are to be reviewed and a response requested by Oct. 14.
