Fortunate Ones, the Juno nominated Newfoundland folk-pop duo, consider themselves fortunate to pursue their dreams. This award-winning pair are singer/guitarist Andrew James O'Brien and singer/pianist/accordion player Catherine Allan. They weave hope, harmony and heart into their music.

Farmery asks Council to rezone land

The Farmery Brewery has requested a change in the zoning bylaw at its new proposed location. The business would like to establish their new brewing facility at the former Mazergroup location, on Highway 5 north. The property however, must be rezoned from commercial to light industrial. Council is reviewing the request. A decision is expected in the near future.
Legion supper provides funds for new HMK playground

On Feb. 25, members of the Neepawa Legion Ladies Auxiliary (LLA) presented a cheque to Hazel M. Kellington school. Principal Allen Hanke explained that Legion Ladies Auxiliary organizer Eleanor Jarvis approached him with an idea of a supper to raise funds for the new playground. A similar event occurred two years ago, whilst developing a climbing wall in the gym.

RCMP Musical Ride coming to Neepawa

On March 7, representatives of the Neepawa Rotary Club, the Town of Neepawa and the RCMP announced that the RCMP Musical Ride will be coming to Neepawa this summer. The ride, taking place July 19, will be sponsored by the Neepawa Rotary Club and take place on the former CN property, at the intersection of Highway 5 North and Main Street (Highway 16).
