Chamber of Commerce celebrating 117th year at AGM

The Neepawa Chamber of Commerce has moved into its 117th year as an organization and will be celebrating, as well as looking back on last year’s progress, with their annual general meeting on Jan. 30.

NACTV preparing a showcase of talent

The 2017 NACTV Showcase of Talent will be held on Thursday, March 9, at the Roxy Theatre from 7 to 10 p.m. We want this to be the biggest and best talent show of all time.

Barn collapses at HyLife Foods

On Tuesday, Jan. 10 a portion of one of the barns at HyLife Foods in Neepawa collapsed due to a combination of wind and snow load. The incident occurred at approximately 11 p.m. and no people or animals were injured.

Roof collapses in Kelwood

A centre piece of the community of Kelwood has been severely damaged. On Saturday, Jan. 14, the roof of the Kelwood skating rink caved in. No one was injured. An excess amount of recent snow may have caused a domino effect on the roof. (Photos by John Drinkwater)

Neepawa businesses awaiting return of dumpsters

A short turn around in the change of garbage contractors is being blamed for the unsightly piles of commercial garbage collecting around Neepawa this month. Without curbside pickup, most of the town’s commercial properties depend on communal dumpsters, located in central locations around town, to dispose of their garbage. However, businesses have been without dumpsters since the beginning of January.
