Death being investigated as homicide

On Dec. 24, at approximately 4:00 pm, Neepawa RCMP responded to a report that a body had been located in the Rural Municipality of Rosedale, Manitoba. RCMP Major Crime Services, RCMP Forensic Identification Services and Manitoba First Nation Police Service assisted Neepawa RCMP with this investigation.
On Dec. 27, the body was identified as that of Cody Mousseau, a 32-year-old male from Sandy Bay First Nation. In a press release, RCMP said that Cody was reported missing to the Manitoba First Nations Police Service on December 8, 2019. It is believed that he was last seen in Sandy Bay between November 27 and December 1, 2019. The death is being investigated as a homicide by Manitoba RCMP Major Crime Services with assistance from the MFNPS.
