It has been confirmed recently that Miles for Mental Health collected a total of $2,800 this year, which committee member Diane Martin states is twice as much as last year. From the $2, 800 figure, $2, 300 has been donated directly to Project 11, a mental wellness organization that teaches positive coping skills, focussing of the mind, increasing self-awareness, and how to build positive relationships; and $500 to the Beautiful Plains School Division (BPSD). All proceeds will be used to provide training in Project 11 workshops and programs, and/or to provide BPSD students with Project 11 programs.
Next year’s event will take place on Aug. 25.
