Lansdowne Recreation Commission is holding a Canada 150 celebration and fundraiser on Oct. 21st at the Arden Community Hall. The event will feature the acoustic trio called GMC and dinner for the evening.
GMC is an interesting group to listen to, they perform covers of a wide variety of musical stylings from the top 40 charts. The trio has no lead vocalist, preferring instead to have all three take their turns leading the group’s lyrical sections while the other two harmonize. Together, the group creates a multi-layered experience the audience can enjoy for the whole evening. The goal of the fundraiser is to raise $10,000 towards permanent washrooms for the Arden Centennial Park. The Committee is looking for sponsors and donations for the event. For more information about tickets, sponsorship or making a donation, please contact Jean Jackson at (204) 368-2349.
