Friday, July 21 at Harding Fair, Kenton and Area Lions Club held a raffle for a gift certificate to Elkhorn Resort or a cash prize; Keith Bennett of Kenton chose the cash prize. Woodworth Millennium Museum held a raffle for a summer barbecue package; the winner was Cheryl Cormack of Brandon. 

On Thursday, Aug. 17 at the RM of Wallace/Woodworth council chamber, people gathered to hear the announcement the winners in Kenton’s beautification contest: most patriotic yard, Craig and Marianne Whyte; best vegetable garden, Robertand Dianne Alexander; most improved yard, Denis Lacroix; most colourful street, Harvey Avenue; best overall yard, Evan and Wilma Bell.Gerry Nolan announced these winners and presented them trophies; Carole-Ann Brethour took pictures. After the presentations, refreshments were served.
