On June 15, a change of ownership occurred at the Home Hardware store in Onanole.
The new owner is Owen Connolly, who also owns the store in Dauphin. He said, “I’ve been a dealer for 34 years. The one in Dauphin covers 27,000 sq.ft. Onanole is 8,000 sq.ft. With Clear Lake and RMNP nearby, the traffic flow during the summer is incredible.
It’s a great store and we’re blessed to be able to buy it. My daughter, Brandice and her partner Chris will manage the business and I will help them out during the summer season. I have another daughter, Whitney, who manages the store in Dauphin, which is only an hour away, so sharing inventory will be no problem. Our real challenge is staffing. We have seven employees and we could certainly need four more.”
