Rivers 50 Plus Club met on Nov. 17; 28 members  attended. The meeting was preceded by a potluck meal where a delicious variety of food was served. Two  new coffee makers have been purchased from Rivers Home Hardware.

A Westman Games meeting was held at Shoal Lake and attended by Wray Douglas and Hugh  Depencier. Rivers will be hosting euchre on Jan. 11 and table shuffleboard on March 1.  Teams will be determined by drawing names from a hat. Following floor curling on Jan. 5, a short meeting will be held to plan lunch for the Jan. 11 euchre. Other games and dates are posted on the board.

It was agreed to pay $500 as rent to Riverdale Municipality; our clubroom is in the basement of their office complex.

A Christmas meal will be catered by Shelly Mom’s Kitchen on Dec. 15 at noon. The phoning committee will contact members to confirm their attendance or not. Entertainment for concert will be planned by Myrtle Wooldridge, Lil Kopytko and Carry  Douglas.

Nominating chairman Ken Young chaired the election of officers for 2017. Two names were presented for president; Adrienne Beaudin was re-elected. A list of officers, committee  and board members is posted on the board and is on file in the minutes.

Celebration table guests were Chic Lindberg (birthday) and Roger and Adrienne Beaudin (anniversary).
