The Glenella Lansdowne Heritage Resource Tourism Committee is in the process of converting the former Arden United Church into a heritage museum. The museum committee first met in early spring to start figuring out the logistics of the project. Currently, they are moving some of their donated artefacts into the building and plan to start setting up the layout on July 6.

There will be an open house on August 24 from 4 to 7 pm for anyone to come and see what the museum has so far and hopefully get some ideas on what they can donate. The committee plans to have about five sections in the building, including pioneer era, agriculture, transportation and natural history of the Lansdowne area. The museum committee hopes to make this museum a tourism hub with maps and descriptions of the tourist destinations in the area.
