On Friday, June 3 Kenton’s only remaining Second World War veteran Jack Houston celebrated his 93rd birthday at the legion clubroom with family and friends; refreshments were served by the ladies auxiliary.

Saturday, June 4 a bridal shower for Cara Wedderburn, daughter of Les and Loree Wedderburn, was held at Rivers Curling Club lounge.

Decoration Day was held on Sunday, June 5 at the cenotaph in Lenore. Mary “Boots” Curtis of Kenton placed a wreath. Lunch was provided by the ladies auxiliary at Kenton Legion Branch No. 118.

Congratulations to the graduates from the Kenton area this year: Jaden Hemrica, Cassie and Emily Hunter and Bailey Wilson. The community wishes all the best to you in your future endeavours.
