Riverdale Harvest gratefully accepted the offer of Zion Church to set up our food bank in a room in their basement. Because of Lesley McFadden and her Grade 11 students, available board members and their family members who came, we were able to move the food bank and set it up in approximately two hours!

We once again express our gratitude to Riverdale Municipality for extending the use of the old RM of Daly office space to us until the renovations were completed for Rivers Police Department. Graciously, police Chief Bruce Klassen allowed us to continue to use the space until we got all the moving details worked out.

With the new space, we are trying a new distribution schedule. One will no longer need an appointment time — the food bank will be open from 10 a.m. until 12 noon every Thursday. Please come to Zion Church (basement) anytime during those two hours and we will be happy to assist you. The street address is 879 Third Avenue, across the street east of the high school.

The next meeting of Riverdale Harvest is scheduled for April 13 at 7p.m. at Prairie Crocus Regional Library. Everyone is welcome to attend!
