On March 7, representatives of the Neepawa Rotary Club, the Town of Neepawa and the RCMP announced that the RCMP Musical Ride will be coming to Neepawa this summer. The ride, taking place July 19, will be sponsored by the Neepawa Rotary Club and take place on the former CN property, at the intersection of Highway 5 North and Main Street (Highway 16).
The Town of Neepawa will be preparing the field, including the set up of bleachers. Rotarian Ivan Traill, who is heading up the Musical Ride committee, explained the decision to try to bring the ride to Neepawa, “I don’t think there’s anything a) more Canadian or b) more impressive than the musical ride.” There will be local entertainment prior to the RCMP performance. The ride was last in Neepawa in 2000.
