Pair of cases before the courts

On Sept 22, a pair of cases went before the court in Minnedosa.

Darryn Cameron had his first court appearance to face charges of sexual assault (one count) and sexual exploitation, invite touch (two counts). The incidents were alleged to have occurred on Jan 3, 2015.

Cameron also faced a charge of providing liquor to a minor.

Shawn Robert Buchanan stood before the court facing three charges of child pornography. He was charged with one count of child pornography-possession, two counts of child pornography-accessing and three counts of child pornography-making available. The offences were alleged to have occurred between January 3 and July 4, 2015.

Buchanan also faced a charge of failure to comply with conditions of undertaking, no contact. This offence was alleged to have occurred between Sept 10 and Sept 11, 2015.

Both cases will next come before the courts on Oct. 27.
