Students from the University of Manitoba's Faculty of Agriculture were in Neepawa on Friday, Oct. 2, for their annual bed push fundraiser. They were raising funds for Cancer Care by pushing a bed from the Safeway parking lot to the Yellowhead Centre.
Nearly $7,000 has been raised this year from visits to Portage, Oakville and Gladstone.
The participants were staying overnight in Minnedosa and taking part in a fundraising breakfast. They were then travelling to Carberry, Glenboro and finishing with a BBQ supper in Carmen.
In 2014 a total of $8,900 was reached. The goal for 2015 is $10,000.
