Saturday, June 13 a pre-wedding social was held at Kenton Memorial Hall for Kelly Thomson and Chad Hunter who will be married in November. It was a wonderful evening and well attended.

People gathered at Kenton Memorial Hall on Wednesday, June 17 for a bridal shower for Sara Hunter, daughter of Cam and Marlene Hunter of Kenton. She is to be married in July and is offered congratulations from the community.

Congratulations to Haley Allen of Wheatland and Curtis Wiebe who were married in Kenton Memorial Hall on Friday, June 19. Curtis missed his graduation ceremony at Rivers Collegiate to be at his wedding, held on the 36th anniversary of Haley’s grandparents, Ken and Barb Szapko of Bradwardine. Curtis accumulated the necessary credits for his diploma very early in the school year.

Saturday, June 20 72 golfers took part in a golf tournament at Hamiota. The event was sponsored by Kenton Legion Branch No. 118 where a steak supper and awards were presented following the tournament’s conclusion. It was a great day and a wonderful time was had by all who took part.

Local 2015 graduates from Hamiota High School are Kaylee Daniel, Cody Hunter, Gage Martinook, Nicole Nolan, Lane Routledge and Brooklyn Tolton. Congratulations to all of you as you start the next stage of your lives!
