50+ plan Christmas party

On Dec. 19 members and guests of Rivers 50+ Club enjoyed a traditional Christmas dinner at the Civic Centre, catered by Shelly Moms Kitchen.

Non-perishable food items were collected for Riverdale Harvest and a concert was held that afternoon. Special guests were 72 members of Rivers Elementary School, under the direction of Liesel Krahn. The concert closed with members singing Christmas carols, then Santa and Mrs. Claus made an appearance.

Birthday and anniversary cake and coffee concluded the afternoon.

Club activities resumed on Jan. 5. Members are reminded that we sing at Riverdale Personal Care Home on Tuesday, Jan. 27. Our next meeting is Jan. 15 at 2 p.m.
