The Dec. 8 meeting was called to order with 12 members present. The two new members approved last month will be sworn in at the January meeting when the new membership year starts.

Phase 1 of the roof project is completed, looks great and it came in slightly under budget! It has been inspected and an application will be made for the first partial payment of the provincial grant. The second phase will be completed in the spring.

A legion-sponsored bonspiel worked very well at the earlier November date. It will be booked for November again in 2015. More details about the bonspiel were printed in last week’s Banner.

A Grey Cup party attracted only 22 people this year but the small business party had 97 people attend. It was met with many positive comments and a good time was had by all.A $100 donation to Rivers Minor Hockey was approved.

The legion is still looking for a couple to do cleaning in the upper hall. Salary details and a list of duties are available at the office. There was an energetic discussion of hall rental opportunities and trends; more study is needed to better plan for future changes. The meeting was adjourned after only 55 minutes. The new year will be active and productive.
