Police Chief Bruce Klassen started working for Rivers Police Service in April but his career began in 1984. After four years of duty in Morden he transferred to work in Brandon where he policed until accepting the chief’s position in Rivers this spring.
September marked his 30th year serving citizens of Manitoba so when the governor general’s office awarded him a certificate for “exemplary service” and his 30-year bar, Town of Rivers office staff intercepted last month’s delivery. A date was co-ordinated and last week, Rivers Police Board member Glenna Beauchamp took great pleasure in presenting the awards to him.
