There’s snow place like home next Thursday as five local businesses have teamed up to show what Neepawa has to offer.

Called A Winter’s Eve, the evening event will offer food, promotions, sales and special gifts from Brew’s Brothers, Beyond the Garden Gate, Kerreen’s, It’s Time and Venus Hair & Body.

It’s Time owner Ineke Mack explained, “We want to showcase what shopping and dining in a small town is like. And that this season, you don’t have to leave home to experience great shopping.”

The event will run from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. and in addition to special events in stores, there will be a wagon, pulled by a team of horses, to shuttle shoppers between the businesses.

Some of the special events planned for the evening include dinner service at Brew’s Brothers as well as free coffee throughout the evening; hourly promotions and surprises at Beyond the Garden Gate; surprises, promotions and tarot card reading at Kerreen’s Clothing; goodie bags and demonstrations at Venus Hair & Body and goodie bags, surprise discounts and promotions at It’s Time. There will also be a treasure hunt, with prizes, between the five locations. A photo contest is also planned.

“The idea is to give ladies a nice evening out,” said Mack. 

A Winter’s Eve will take place on Nov. 20, from 5 to 9 p.m.
