The regular monthly meeting of Rivers Legion Ladies Auxiliary was held Nov. 3; 23 members attended. Reports and minutes were read and adopted. There were no new applications for memberships.

The flower bed at the cenotaph has been  completed.

Members were reminded to bring an item for the bottle table as well as two items for the bake table (with ingredients listed) for the Remembrance Day luncheon. This fundraiser is held Nov. 11 from 12-2 p.m. at Rivers Legion Hall; we look forward to seeing you there. In addition to providing you a light lunch, we sell baking, penny raffle tickets, cash raffle tickets and bottles.

The auxiliary will pass out candy during the Christmas parade on Saturday, Dec. 6 at 10 a.m.

Memberships are due by Jan. 1 and they must be paid by Dec. 31 in order to be eligible for the early bird draw (a free membership).

Our December meeting (Dec. 1) will be catered with each member paying a portion of the cost. Because of the meal, there will be no lunch for the December meeting, which is when elections will be held.
