On Oct. 6 I met a couple and their son at our restaurant. I asked if they were travelling through town or visiting; they told me they had purchased a farm near Lenore. Alastair and Emma Boynton came from England two weeks ago and will be taking possession on Oct. 15.

They have three children, two in school in Virden and one toddler. Their toddler son is Oscar (who was very friendly) and their other children are Lucy and George. 

Thanksgiving, fall suppers, Halloween and cooler temperatures are events of the fall season and this cooler weather. I hope the rain holds off so that farmers can finish harvesting their crops. Happy Thanksgiving to everyone!
